Call to protest „Fight the antisemitic alliance“

anti-fascist demonstration in response to the escalation of anti-semitism since the 7th of October

Since October 7th, an unlikely alliance has emerged: from the international art and cultural scene to Iran’s Mullah regime; from left-wing groups to LGBTQI activists and ravers from Berlin to Barcelona; from Erdogan supporters to American humanities students; from United Nations representatives to German neo-Nazis and Palestinian terrorists. Despite their vast differences, these groups have found common ground in their hatred towards the world’s only Jewish state: Israel.

One might have hoped that October 7, 2023, the day the largest anti-semitic massacre since the Holocaust took place, could have been a wake-up call to realize the true intentions of these “critics of Israel”. However, it soon became evident that international antisemitic movements gained momentum at the very moment the Jewish state appeared vulnerable. On October 7, sweets were handed out on Sonnenallee in Neukölln Berlin, and even before Israel’s military response began, demonstrations were organized, rebranding the massacre as an act of resistance.

In many predominantly Muslim parts of the world, people openly responded to Hamas‘ call, chanting “Death to Jews!“. Meanwhile, their Western accomplices take a detour to arrive at the same conclusion. While “criticism of Israel” had long been a consensus in self-proclaimed progressive circles, the events of October 7th led to a definitebreaking point in Western attitudes towards Israel. Self-proclaimed feminist groups deny or relativize the rape of women because they are Israeli, leftists demonstrate hand in hand with Islamists against Israel; All while being backed by academics. Slogans such as “From the River to the Sea” or “Yallah Intifada” are shouted on German streets and university campuses. The inherent desire for the annihilation of Jews, embedded in both slogans, no longer needs to be articulated in hushed tones. Another detour anti-Israeli activists make are German memory politics. In this regard, “Free Palestine from German Guilt” represents the current apex of the post-colonial deconstruction of the Holocaust.

Since October 7, the situation for Jews in Germany and worldwide has drastically worsened. The Chief Rabbi of France advised Jews to emigrate to Israel, and in Germany numerous Jewish restaurants closed. Universities have increasingly become antisemitic no-go areas. In Berlin, a Jewish student was almost beaten to death. Nationwide, synagogues were targeted with arson attacks and political opponents of pro-Palestinian activists are marked with the red Hamas triangle, declaring them targets for terrorist attacks. All those who spread the lie of a genocide against Palestinians inflicted another, potentially irreparable wound on Jewish life in Germany and globally.

Therefore, we demand: Solidarity with Jews worldwide. Solidarity with Israel.

Down with the Islamist Hamas, Hezbollah, Tehran’s Islamist regime and their accomplices in the West. Against the anti-Semitic international!
